Paint Maestro offers a wide range of specialized passive fire protection solutions which are suitable for protecting Paper, Wood, Natural and Synthetic Fabric, Cables and Metals.
Our range of products are Zero VOC, halogen free, water based and colourless coatings. All these products are environmentally safe and can be applied easily by roll, dip, spray, or brush and can be top coated for added protection while still maintaining their primary utility. The products do not emit any toxic gases hence casualties due to suffocation during fire accident are minimized to a great extent.
This is a char forming penetrating fire retardant for synthetic and natural fabrics like carpet, draperies, wall coverings, rayon, polyester, most synthetic and blends. Carbon char forms between fire and fabric, reducing effect of the fire, heat and smoke; and fabric can be dipped or sprayed.
This is a char and thin foam penetrating fire retardant for protection of most types of raw woods, plywood and cellulose type material to obtain "Class A" fire rating and can be easily applied by dipping, brush and spray. As wood is extensively used as an Interior designing product, therefore It highly recommended by professionals. It also can be applied in an exterior environment if top coated with an approved exterior coating.
Electrical cables themselves can be the cause of a fire (short-circuit, electrical overload, arcing). They allow the rapid spread of flame mainly in vertical cable shafts and can cause secondary fires. The rapid propagation of flame is the biggest risk in cable fires. Propagation rate is 20 metres / min (66ft/min) in vertical runs, that means 5 stories / min.
We stock, supply and apply non-toxic, non-hazardous, FM Approved, water-based, intumescent latex mastic cable coating especially developed for the fire protection of grouped or bundled electrical cables for interior or exterior applications. The cable coating will also protect the integrity of the cable system for up to 90 minutes under IEC 60331-11/21 in hydrocarbon and non-hydrocarbon environments for temperature up to 1100ºC.
The coating has an excellent resistance to weathering and aging and which remains flexible indefinitely allowing for cable movement and removal.

Structural steel members (columns, beams, joists, bracing, channels, angles, hollow sections) need to be fire protected by fire resistant rated coatings. Steel will not burn, but if it gets exposed to heat, it loses its strength very quickly. Loss of strength of steel begins at about 300ºC and increases rapidly after 400ºC. Failure temperature of the steel core is about 550°C, depending on the orientation and type of structure. When steel looses its’ strength, building can and most likely, will collapse.
We offer Intumescent Coatings that protects the steel from reaching structural failure temperatures in fire (cellulosic, hydrocarbon and jet fires) and hence buys time for the people to escape and the emergency services to evacuate people and stop the fire. Fire Batt / Panel is a high density stone wool core over coated with intumescent mastic coating. The top coating provides additional protection by significantly reducing the permeability of the stone wool core and prevents the passage of hot gases, thus reducing the temperature rise on the unexposed side and reducing heat conduction through the building services. It is available with coating on one or two sides depending on the basis of installation considerations and fire resistance with a maximum of 4 hours fire rating.
It is designed to prevent the spread of fire and smoke through openings in fire rated walls and floors where large openings are formed to allow the installation of multiple building services. It also maintains the acoustic design performance in fire rated walls and floors.

Fire Mortar is a dry white powder consisting of inorganic compounds and perlite (gypsum based) which when mixed with water in the proper ratio forms a highly thermal insulating 4 hour fire sealing compound to prevent spread of fire and smoke in fire rated wall and floor openings formed around building service penetrations.
It expands approx. 1% by hydraulic action during curing and ensures a tight seal around the service penetrations and the surrounding opening apertures. It is easy to sand or drill and dries to an off white colour which may be painted. The seal is load bearing and sets within 1 hr with fire ratings depending on thickness of mortar used.

We stock various type of intumescent and high performance polymeric fire sealants with up to 4 hr fire and insulation ratings. These sealants are designed for fire sealing and form an effective seal against fire, smoke and toxic gases through joints and openings in fire rated walls and floors including openings formed around building service penetrations. The sealants also have acoustic properties and retain a degree of elasticity for joint movement.
